Charity Begins At Home For Solidor

February 17th 2014

olidor is incredibly proud of its Staffordshire roots. We always do whatever we can to support and raise awareness of local charitable causes and there are few more worthy causes than Douglas MacMillan Hospice.

Douglas Macmillan Hospice is the only adult hospice providing care and support every year to over 2500 people across Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire and we’re delighted to announce that Solidor will be sponsoring their latest annual bike ride.

Taking place on Sunday 18th May and affectionately known locally as the ‘Dougie Mac’ bike ride, hundreds of people from across the county will be taking to their bicycles at the starting point of Michelin Athletic Club to raise vital funds for the hospice.

Anyone can take part, whether they’re a seasoned cycling pro or a complete biking novice. All they have to do is pay a small entry fee and acquire as much sponsorship money as they can before carefully navigating a 10, 50 or 110-mile route.

Without the support of the local community, Douglas Macmillan Hospice could not continue to provide free of charge care, so every penny counts!

It’s a privilege to have our name associated with such a fantastically rewarding event.
