Mr & Mrs Ashworth live in a mid terraced house in Accrington where the old UPVC door was looking well past its sell by date. “The door had basically just worn out! The front panel had cracked and the whole unit had warped and was making us feel less than secure in our home. A replacement was badly needed.”
This created a great opportunity for the couple to add a real personal touch and sense of style to the front of their home. “Generally our taste is to have something which is fairly unique. The Ashworths were introduced to installers North West Windows Doors and Conservatories Ltd by a long standing friend. North West were on hand to guide them through the process; from design and ordering to ultimately fitting their new door.
The Ashworths narrowed the search down to three door styles from the Contemporary Italia collection, before finally opting for the Modena.
Even with the choice of 20 colours options there was never any doubt for the Ashworths. “Chartwell green is really clean and crisp. We thought that it would look particularly good with the stone fronted façade on our home.”
Since the new door has been installed Mr Ashworth has noticed a tremendous difference “The door closes easily with a reassuring ‘thunk’ of the Solid timber core. There are no more drafts, the hallway is warmer and to top it all there have been many admiring glances from passers-by!”
