Tracey runs a nursery set within the grounds of an independent school on the outskirts of Liverpool city centre. The entrance to the nursery was looking rather tired due to the amount of use that it gets throughout the year, so Tracey put in a request to upgrade it.
The main entrance to the nursery didn’t look very inviting at all. The previous door had been in place for a long time, was constantly in use and so was looking somewhat tatty. It needed to be replaced sooner rather than later.
Tracey got in touch with local door specialist Prescot Door & Windows Centre who are part of Solidors National Installer Network.
John and the team at Prescot were great. When I explained the situation with our current door they said that a new Solidor would be the perfect option for us. They explained all of the security features that come with Solidor and how it’s made from a Solid Timber Core which is very robust.
The nursery is set within an old Victorian house so it was decided that the new door should be a traditional style and colour so to be in keeping with the period features of the property.
We decided to go for the Beeston door with Georgian bar in French Grey. It’s great because it looks traditional but with all the advantages of being made out of modern materials. We felt that the Grey colour was really well suited to the exterior of the property and for additional security we had the digital rim lock fitted.
Since the door has been fitted it not only looks so much more inviting but it’s so much easier to open and close and the keypad is great. I’ve no doubt that once the weather starts to turn its cold there’ll be no draughts wither.
Everyone is so impressed that other parts of the school are going to be having Solidors fitted too.
