Kate and Rob moved into their Victorian Mid Terrace within the trendy suburb of Clarendon Park, Leicester earlier in the year. Keen to add their own stamp on to the property, the front door was one of the first changes that they wanted to make.
Kate comments: The original front door had a very large glazed panel that looked unattractive, wasn’t in keeping with the period features of the house and didn’t provide us with an adequate level of security. We were keen to change it as soon as possible.
Kate and Rob having just moved into the area we’re keen to use a local firm to carry out the project and so one Sunday afternoon they took a trip to Kettell Windows.
Rob comments: We we’re both really impressed with Kettell’s showroom and the team there were friendly and professional. We knew that we wanted a traditional door style and we’re immediately drawn to The Ludlow when John pointed it out to us. John also helped us with the customisation of our door using the Solidor Door Designer. This feature was a fantastic tool for us, it allowed us to swap and change the colours of the door, the furniture and glass until found what we knew would look great on our home.
Kate and Ben opted for The Ludlow door style from the Traditional Collection. They teamed it with Victorian glass and then finished it of with Gold furniture.
Kate continues: We’re really pleased with the end result. Our new front door is has turned out exactly how we wanted, and it feels really solid and secure.
Rob continues: The whole process has been really easy. We knew instantly that Kettell Windows we’re new a lot about the Solidor range which put our minds at ease.
