Mr and Mrs Hill live in a 1980’s four-bedroom detached house in the leafy town of Halstead. The original door had been damaged over time and the lock had developed a fault. Needless to say, the Hills didn’t feel very secure and so decided that they’d start the search for a stronger, more secure front door.
Mr & Mrs Hill took a trip to local retailer Windows Etc who have a beautiful showroom which features a vast array of Solidors in various styles and colours. Part of Solidors National Installer Network for many years, the team and window Etc were more than happy to talk the Hills though all of the features and benefits of the product.
Mrs Hill comments: We we’re sold on Solidor as soon as Joe and his team informed us that they we’re manufactured using a solid timber core, as security was one of the key features that we we’re looking for. We’d already decided before the visit that we didn’t want a foam filled or GRP door.
Mr & Mrs Hill found that the colour choices and door styles available from Solidor were much more extensive than expected.
Mrs Hill continues: We had no idea that there would be so many different colour options! And found it very interesting that Solidor offer the option to have different colours inside and out. Although we loved some of the other colours, our house is quite traditional, so we went for the Conway 3 and had white both sides.
Now that the door has been fitted we’ve noticed a difference. You can feel the quality every time you open and close the door. It feels really solid and is making us feel so much more secure in our home.
We’d both recommend Windows Etc and Solidor to any looking to replace their front door.
