At Solidor we like to focus on the positives. We prefer to talk about what we do well, and how we can make people’s homes and lives better. However, we all know that the world is not always a perfect place and that sometimes, no matter how hard we try, we can’t prevent bad things happening.
And so it was last night.
It was around 4am, when Mr. Wilson and his family were sleeping peacefully in their beds, that they were awakened by a series of loud noises. Mr. Wilson rushed downstairs to discover that it was in fact two men trying to break into his house.
“It’s every parent’s worst nightmare. I’d got the kids standing in their rooms, wondering what was going on, and I could see these two men in balaclavas hacking at my front door with a house brick!”
Thankfully the glass held firm and the burglars were thwarted. But it was a sustained attack. The burglars made so much noise in their attempt to break-in that they actually woke up Mr. Wilson’s neighbours living four doors away!
“We live on a quiet, leafy cul-de-sac on the outskirts of Glasgow,” says Mr. Wilson. “Nothing like this ever happens here. It was the most terrifying thing my family has ever experienced. The most important thing is that no one was hurt.”
“We replaced our previous UPVC door with a Solidor a couple of years ago. As a result, our hall is brighter, quieter and warmer. However, last night we realised how much more secure it is too!”
