Mr & Mrs Hitchcock live in a large five bedroom detached house which overlooks the Marlborough Downs, an area of outstanding natural beauty in Berkshire.
The couple bought the house from new and have enjoyed living there for past 12 years. The front door had served them well, but time was beginning to take its toll so they decided to invest in an upgrade.
Mr Hitchcock comments: “We wanted both a new front door and glazing that would allow more natural light into our large but otherwise gloomy entrance hall. We started our search online and that’s where we came across Solidor. Initially we were really impressed with the wide range of door styles that Solidor had to offer, the apparent solidity and the positive reviews on line. Mrs Hitchcock works as an artist so she was very keen to make the new door truly individual and comments: We fell in love with the Twilight Grey as soon as we saw the swatch, it does exactly what we hoped in offering a hint of blue-grey, or green-grey depending on the light.
The Jo Downs range of glass gave us the ability to personalise our new door and the blue tiles really compliment tour choice of colour. We really liked the idea that the glazing is unique to us and that no two tiles from this range are ever the same.
