Traditional Ironmongery

December 7th 2012

Not one to stand still, composite door innovator Solidor, have just launched a new range of handmade traditional ironmongery through sister division, DorPro.

The new range of handmade traditional ironmongery range includes a range of handles, knockers and letterplates in black and pewter. The new 5” ring door knocker makes a striking statement on Solidor’s solid timber core based slabs and due to it’s weight cannot be readily fitted on to lightweight foam filled GRP doors.

The handle range includes Gothic, Monkeytail, Tudor, Narrow Twist and Avon options in black and pewter with a matching letter plate. With over 10 standard designs plus the Italia Collection, Stable and French Doors, along with 14 colours inside and out, there are considerable options for the discerning homeowner to create an impressive opening to their home. The additional hardware options further extend these opportunities.

With a number of leading window fabricators now offering monkey tail handles, Solidor have now launched a complementary option through the traditional ironmongery range. There’s also now a perfectly matching Solidor solution for the new Residence9 System from Eclectic Systems.

Gareth Mobley, managing director of the Solidor Group comments: “The traditional ironmongery range is yet another industry first from us and has already been enthusiastically received by our customers. We continue to raise the bar when it comes to product development and have further projects already coming to fruition, so watch this space!”
