Sally and her husband moved into their 1970’s style detached house in Cranleigh, Surrey (the self-proclaimed largest village in England) in August this year.
They had been wanting to downsize for some time and their son was looking for a bigger family home so they agreed to do a house swap.
Sally’s son had done a lot of work on the interior of the house but the exterior was in need of some attention.
“We wanted to give the house a bit of ‘kerb appeal’ and add our own personal touch. After landscaping the front garden and driveway we decided that the bland UPVC front door looked out of place and had to go!”

“I really liked the look of the Ancona, I think it’s really stylish and so elegant. I was very impressed with the colour options on offer from Solidor. In fact it was difficult to choose as there were several colours that I had my eye on. Eventually we agreed on Anthracite Grey.”
Sally’s new door has been installed for a few weeks now and she has been inundated with compliments from friends and family.
“It’s a wonderful feeling to open and close the front door and have the reassuring sense that the door is both solid and secure (unlike our old UPVC one).
The new door has made an enormous improvement to the look of our house, we’ve had so many compliments. A couple of neighbours have asked where we got the door from as they’re looking for something similar.
